Final Coordination Meeting of the “RuralNEET” Project Successfully Held in Skopje
From 25–26 April 2026, partners of the “RuralNEET” project gathered in Skopje, North Macedonia, for the final transnational project meeting, marking the concluding stage of an important and impactful project cycle dedicated to supporting and empowering young people from rural communities, especially NEET youth (young people not in education, employment, or training).

The meeting brought together representatives and partners from Portugal, Italy, and North Macedonia, with the hosting organization welcoming participants in Skopje for two days of intensive coordination, evaluation, and planning for the successful closure of the project.
During the meeting, partners focused on reviewing the overall implementation of the project and assessing the progress achieved throughout the different phases of cooperation. Special attention was given to the final reporting process, administrative and financial responsibilities, dissemination obligations, and the completion of pending activities and deliverables.
The discussions also addressed the remaining tasks that need to be finalized before the official closure of the project. Partners worked collaboratively to establish clear deadlines, responsibilities, and follow-up actions to ensure that all outputs, reports, and dissemination materials are completed in a timely and high-quality manner.
In addition to the technical and reporting aspects, the meeting served as an opportunity for reflection on the achievements, challenges, and impact generated through the “RuralNEET” project. The partners highlighted the importance of international cooperation and exchange of experiences in developing inclusive approaches and opportunities for rural youth.

The consortium also discussed sustainability and the continuation of cooperation beyond the project’s official duration, emphasizing the value of maintaining strong partnerships and building future initiatives that continue supporting youth development, social inclusion, and active participation.
The hosting organization from North Macedonia expressed appreciation to all partners for their commitment, professionalism, and contribution throughout the entire project implementation period. The successful organization of the final meeting in Skopje represented an important milestone in bringing the project cycle to a meaningful and well-coordinated conclusion.
The “RuralNEET” project has created valuable opportunities for collaboration, learning, and development among partner organizations while contributing to the empowerment of young people from rural environments. As the project approaches its official closure, the consortium remains committed to ensuring the long-term visibility, sustainability, and impact of the results achieved during the implementation period.
