Local Empowerment Session Successfully Organized for Young People in Skopje – RuralNEET

On 28 April 2026, EUNOIA successfully organized a Local Empowerment Session in Skopje, bringing together young people from rural communities for a dynamic day of learning, participation, and exchange of experiences. The activity was organized as part of the follow-up and local dissemination efforts within the framework of the “RuralNEET” project.

The local training served as a replication activity of the international Training Course and Youth Exchange previously held in Portugal. Through this session, the knowledge, methodologies, tools, and experiences gained during the international mobility activities were transferred and adapted to the local context, allowing rural youth in North Macedonia to directly benefit from the project outcomes.

During the session, participants engaged in interactive workshops, group discussions, practical exercises, and non-formal education activities focused on youth empowerment, active participation, communication, teamwork, and personal development. The training created a safe and inclusive space where young people could openly share their perspectives, experiences, and ideas for improving opportunities within their local communities.

The event also encouraged participants to reflect on the challenges faced by rural youth and explore ways of becoming more active and engaged in social and community initiatives. Through peer learning and collaborative work, the participants strengthened their confidence, communication skills, and motivation to take initiative in their own environments.

The Local Empowerment Session received highly positive feedback from the participants, with a high level of satisfaction reported throughout the evaluation process. Many participants expressed their appreciation for the interactive methodology, supportive atmosphere, and practical knowledge shared during the activity.

Several young people also highlighted their willingness and motivation to participate in future activities organized by EUNOIA, recognizing the importance of such opportunities for personal growth, networking, and active engagement.
